Project Zomboid Support Is On The Way.
Cross-server reputation, the network ban-list, and player lookup already cover the Steam accounts on your Project Zomboid server. Server-side support — console, roster, ban enforcement — is not open for sign-ups yet.
Can I add a Project Zomboid server today?
No. Project Zomboid is not one of the games open for sign-ups, so the Add Server form refuses it. This page says so rather than letting you find out after making an account.
What can a Zomboid admin use Metabans for right now?
Player lookup, the cross-server reputation graph, and the public network ban-list. All three key on the Steam account rather than on the game, so an account you are unsure about can be checked against everything it has done on the communities we already connect to.
Our problem is raiders on a PvP server who rejoin under a new character. Does reputation help?
Partly, and it is worth being precise about which part. A new character on the same Steam account is the same account to us, so history follows it. A genuinely different account is a different account — reputation is not an alt-detection guarantee, it is a record of what an account has done and where. That record is often enough to recognise a returning problem, and it is never a substitute for your own judgement.
What will Project Zomboid support look like when it lands?
We are not publishing a feature list for a game we have not connected yet. Every supported game gets the same shape — live console, roster, ban and kick enforcement, chat, and cross-server reputation wired through it — and what the server exposes decides what sits on top. This page changes when we know.
