Metabans

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Metabans ("Service"), operated at metabans.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Metabans reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.

2. Description of Service

Metabans is a multi-tenant SaaS platform for game server administration. The Service provides:

Remote console (RCON) access to game servers
Player management, ban enforcement, and chat monitoring
Cross-server player intelligence and reputation scoring
Public server browser and player lookup
Analytics, alerts, and automated moderation tools
REST API for programmatic access

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an organization ("Tenant") account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access
Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Metabans offers tiered subscription plans (Scout, Sentinel, Warden, Overlord) with varying feature sets and limits. The Scout plan is free; paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.

Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
Plan changes: Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use

Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. You may not use the Service to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation
Infringe intellectual property rights
Transmit malicious code or interfere with the Service
Abuse the RCON system to harm game server infrastructure
Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users or players
Resell or sublicense the Service without authorization

6. Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and processing of data as described therein.

Each Tenant organization is a separate data controller for the player data collected through their game servers. Metabans acts as a data processor for tenant-specific data and as a data controller for cross-tenant aggregated intelligence (e.g., global reputation scores).

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, documentation, and branding, is owned by Metabans and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your data but grant us a limited license to process it as needed to provide the Service.

8. API Usage

Access to the Metabans API is subject to rate limits and usage policies. API keys are confidential and must not be shared. We reserve the right to revoke API access for misuse or excessive usage beyond plan limits.

9. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, METABANS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Metabans from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination:

Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
Tenant data is retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted
You may request a data export before deletion

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Delaware.
