Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines prohibited activities when using the Metabans platform. This policy supplements our Terms of Service.

2. Prohibited Activities

Server Management

• Using RCON access to intentionally damage or disrupt game servers you do not own or have authorization to manage
• Attempting to exploit RCON protocols to gain unauthorized access to server infrastructure
• Automated mass-banning or unbanning without reasonable cause
• Using the platform to facilitate DDoS attacks or other network abuse

Player Data

• Collecting or processing player data without appropriate legal basis
• Using player intelligence features to harass, stalk, or dox individuals
• Sharing player IP addresses, real names, or other sensitive data publicly
• Using ban appeal information to retaliate against players

Platform Abuse

• Circumventing rate limits, plan restrictions, or security controls
• Creating multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
• Automated scraping of player profiles, banlists, or server data beyond API rate limits
• Submitting false ban appeals or spam
• Impersonating other users, administrators, or Metabans staff

Content

• Uploading malicious content or code
• Using the Service to distribute illegal content
• Hate speech, harassment, or threats via any platform feature

3. Enforcement

Violations may result in:

• Warning: First-time or minor violations
• Suspension: Repeated or moderate violations (temporary access restriction)
• Termination: Severe or continued violations (permanent account closure)

We reserve the right to take immediate action without warning for severe violations that threaten platform security or user safety.
